Subiaco will come alive with the sounds of live jazz this August as the Perth International Jazz Festival and See Subiaco present the inaugural Subiaco Winter Jazz Trail; a free weekend of performances celebrating local music, vibrant businesses and community connection.
Running across Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August, the trail will feature 12 free pop-up performances in venues and public spaces throughout Subiaco, transforming cafés, galleries, churches, bars, and laneways into intimate live music experiences.
The weekend begins at the Subi Farmers Market, where the Nahler & Bates Duet will kick off the program before performances continue across venues including SAVA ART Gallery in Shenton Park, Subi Square, St Andrew's Church, Embassy by Devlin's and Quello Bar.
On Sunday, performances continue at Postal Walk, Subi Square, the Subiaco Hotel, Mossenson Galleries and FOUND. Subiaco, showcasing everything from Brazilian jazz and contemporary ensembles to energetic New Orleans-inspired brass bands.
City of Subiaco Mayor David McMullen said, “Along the Subiaco Winter Jazz Trail, expect to see familiar locations transformed into lively music venues. Pop in to one of our local galleries, bars, or even the Subi Farmers Market this August to enjoy some world-class jazz from a talented roster of musicians.”
