Museum school program a success

MuseumSchoolProgram_7.jpg

More than 350 Year One and Two students from local primary schools stepped back in time as part of Subiaco Museum’s annual school program in the first two terms of 2026.

This year’s Year One program offered a glimpse into local family life in the past and in the present, including the chance to dress up and participate in hands-on activities like laundry, working in a tearoom, and sending morse code telegrams.

The Year Two program offered a lesson in the old schoolroom, the chance to design a stained glass window, and a glimpse at how houses were built with timber and bricks.

Each program is designed to meet curriculum requirements through object-based learning, storytelling, and imaginative roleplay.
