Unfiltered is a 30-minute lived-experience documentary exploring the intersectionality of mental health challenges.
It follows the experiences of 7 Western Australians navigating mental health challenges across diverse communities and identities. This is not a glossy, inspirational narrative. It is a brave, human, and deeply honest look at what it means to survive, advocate, and thrive in systems that aren’t conducive to it.
It is an exciting collaboration, brought to you by Rachael Burns (Founder of Integrity Initiative) and Lily Gresele (Founder of How To Be Well). Lily and Rachael are both young people in Boorloo who have founded and operate grassroots, Lived Experience mental health enterprises and who have experience in film, media, and content creation.
About Lily Gresele
Lily Gresele is a mental health advocate based in Perth, and founder of How To Be Well. How To Be Well is an online advocacy space that was created to reduce mental health stigma and encourage support seeking behaviours. After 5 years the space has expanded into an online mental health support platform, workshop facilitation, and collaboration projects such as, ‘Unfiltered’.
About Rachael Burns
Rachael Burns is an intersectional youth, mental health, and disability advocate from Boorloo, working across diverse advocacy spaces - from councils and committees, journalism, and research to founding and leading Integrity Initiative.
