Local resident Helen Street is the next artist in the museum’s Community Artist series and her exhibition ‘Up Close and Personal’ will include works from her personal collection, including one work exhibited at the Lester Prize. Helen’s detailed photorealistic portraits of her three daughters showcase a development in her techniques and style of painting, and will be on display until April.
Following on from the Museum’s Heritage Map, the museum team have been working hard to bring a broader collection of items together for our new museum shop. Perth-based artist Jane Coffey has created a design to celebrate the museum and our location on Rokeby Road which will be transferred to prints, badges, magnets and a variety of other items. Tea towel prints of the Heritage Map will also be available for sale as well as a small collection of local history books and photographs from the museum’s collection.
