Subi Blooms presents Stem by Stem

Discover Stem by Stem, a large-scale interactive art installation by ENESS, as part of Subi Blooms 2024.

The six-metre by three-metre inflatable artwork was first commissioned in Sydney to welcome back visitors following various lockdowns. It features interactive elements prompted by visitor movement stimulating bursts of colour and sound.

The sweet creatures play with audiences with motion tracking eyes and soft pulsating synth notes that intensify and fade, and rebuild as more people move into the space.

The work combines all the motifs for which ENESS is known for, with intricately detailed custom patterns typically seen within the fabric of traditional Japanese kimonos.

Nestled in the arms of these two loveable characters are oversized and overflowing flower bouquets created by one of Perth's best florists, Sir Botanical.

Meet Stem by Stem on Seddon Street in Subiaco from 19 April to 19 May 2024.

This is a public installation, and attendance is free.
