Stepping Stones Triple P Seminar - Positive Parenting for Children with a Disability
This is a joint initiative between the City of Subiaco and the Department of Education to celebrate the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
Stepping Stones Triple P Seminars are for parents or caregivers of neurodivergent children or children with disabilities up to 12 years old, who are interested in learning about their child’s development and behaviour.
Positive Parenting for Children with a Disability will introduce you to the seven core principles of positive parenting:
- Ensuring a safe engaging environment.
- Creating a positive learning environment.
- Using assertive discipline.
- Having reasonable expectations.
- Looking after yourself as a parent.
- Adapting to having a child with a disability.
- Being part of the community.
Light lunch will be provided. Please let us know of dietary requirements.
Getting to the event: Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. There is parking along Rokeby Road and Theatre Gardens.
