See Subi on Sunday - Mabel's Table
Meet at Mabel Talbot Park on Mother’s Day for a moment of reflection, not only of the important role mothers have in our lives but also in civic development. Mabel Talbot was the first President of the Tree Society which planted many trees in this semi-permanent wetland, a wildlife sanctuary and breeding area, transforming it into a beautiful park.
Start and finish corner Jolimont Terrace and Jersey Street on the corner of Henderson Park oval.
The walks take approximately one and a half hours to complete and are suitable for people of all ages. Walks are conducted in a relaxed, friendly and informative manner. Community members with past and present connections to the areas visited are invited to provide personal anecdotes that enhance the appreciation of the location explored during each walk.
The See Subi on Sunday walks work on the same basis as a group of friends walking together, who invite others to join them. New walkers are always welcome.
Event Details: Walks will go ahead rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms or hail. All walkers take part at their own risk.
