See Subi on Sunday - Colourful Canopies and Choir
Springtime is when Subiaco's jacarandas and colourful street tree really delight the eye. Learn about Alexander Rankin, a foresighted civic leader, and his legacy of the tree-lined streets within the City of Subiaco as well as the history of the heritage listed Wandana building. The WandanaSong Choir will perform a short recital during the walk.
Meeting point is at Crossways Shopping Centre Carpark.
The walks take approximately one and a half hours to complete and are suitable for people of all ages. Walks are conducted in a relaxed, friendly and informative manner. Community members with past and present connections to the areas visited are invited to provide personal anecdotes that enhance the appreciation of the location explored during each walk.
The See Subi on Sunday walks work on the same basis as a group of friends walking together, who invite others to join them. New walkers are always welcome.
Event Details: Walks will go ahead rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms or hail. All walkers take part at their own risk.
