To mark Refugee Week 2026 (14 to 20 June), join the Centre for Asylum Seekers Refugees and Detainees (CARAD) at Subiaco Library for an insightful presentation. Tea, coffee, and nibbles will be provided.
The Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees' presentation will provide an overview of the current situation and challenges faced by those seeking asylum in Australia. Attendees will learn about CARAD's meaningful work and the support services they provide to people who have fled unimaginable hardship in search of safety and peace in Western Australia. The presentation will share stories from CARAD clients rebuilding their lives in Perth and it will also outline various ways to contribute, get involved and support community initiatives that create a more welcoming environment for those rebuilding their lives in Western Australia.
Attendees are encouraged to bring the below donation items for the CARAD pantry:

Hair shampoo and conditioner
