Are you parenting in a culture different to your upbringing? Or are you looking for ways to balance cultural differences between you and your partner?
Raising children in a new country and different culture can be a challenge. Parents may wonder how to respond when children ask for sandwiches rather than traditional meals with rice or daal, or how to navigate practices such as playdates and sleepovers.
Relationship Australia supported by City of Subiaco, is bringing a workshop that aims to strengthen and empower parents who are culturally and linguistically diverse to raise children and young people between cultures with confidence.
The workshop will be exploring:
•How culture impacts parenting
•What aspects of culture work well and not well in your family
•How culture affects your child’s identity and wellbeing
•Children’s brain development and needs
•Decision making that works for your family
Limited spots available, RSVP now. Light refreshments provided.
