Discover the surprising range of locally manufactured goods from Metters cookers and Bristile ceramic sinks, to wicker furniture and a 1930s macaroni factory. This Museum Morning will include a look into the upcoming exhibition Made in Subiaco, which celebrates Subiaco’s rich manufacturing and industrial heritage. Explore museum objects and maker’s stories which uncover the people, products and enterprises that helped shape the suburb’s identity. some interesting history followed by a free morning tea.
Museum Mornings are conducted by Subiaco Museum on the first Thursday of the month (excluding January). Commencing at 10am, the free lecture runs for 30-45 minutes and is followed by morning tea. Explore the Museum collection and discover a different theme each month. Upcoming event:
