Museum in a Box

Please note * Starting time is 10am as the activity will be guided by museum staff - please endeavor to arrive promptly.

Museum staff will offer a rare opportunity for visitors to see how our collection items are stored and cared for. We will unwrap some of the museums’ treasures and share the stories linked to the items. Visitors will be invited to put on some museum gloves and examine collection items for themselves. Simple techniques for caring, handling and conserving these collection items will be presented. Budding curators’ questions about storing and caring for their own collections, as well as the museums, are most welcome!

NOTE: Please do not attend Subiaco Museum if you are feeling unwell, you are most welcome to cancel your free ticket at any time and re-book into future upcoming events when you are feeling better and are symptom free. We ask that all visitors maintain good hand hygiene and utilise the hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities available when attending events.
