Join Yirra Yaakin and the City of Subiaco to celebrate NAIDOC Week!
Set on Wadandi Boodja; Woodich-Up Bilya (Margaret River), Lingo Lah Lah follows the adventures of three bestest everest friends: Big Dwert (Dog) Lil Dwert, and Koolungar (Child), as they journey around country and even to Meeka (the moon) to regain their language, taken from them by Mother Earth and Lingo Dingo as punishment for being mean and unkind.
Without their voices they must now learn new ways to communicate!
On their quest for forgiveness, they encounter many characters who hold different aspects of language and important lessons about kindness, acceptance, friendship, and the power of words.
Lingo Lah Lah is a fun, interactive and joyful romp through our multilingual landscape, with a focus on Noongar Language, that will have audiences counting, playing, greeting each other and even learning how to say sorry, in other languages.
Suitable for young people aged 6+ this show will take its audiences on an epic journey that celebrates friendship, empathy and the cultural diversity among us.
Lingo Lah Lah is a celebration of all that we are in WA!
