About this event

This session provides an introduction to dementia, including an overview of different types of dementia, diagnosis, planning ahead and how to support someone living with dementia. This session provides more detail about causes of dementia and obtaining a diagnosis.

Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist knowledge, skills and experience. 

You will gain knowledge in:

  • types of dementia, signs and symptoms
  • the experience of living with dementia
  • available services and where to access support.

Suitable for: Members of the public who want to learn more about dementia, or are concerned that they or someone they know may have dementia.

This session is part of Seniors Space. Join us from 9am for tea, coffee and refreshments. The workshop will start at 10am.

Seniors Space is free and welcomes over 55s. Drop in any time on Thursday mornings! Socialise with new and old friends over a cup of tea, coffee or activities. Enjoy a regular calendar of events featuring guest speakers, special workshops, movie mornings, board games and arts and crafts.
