Ni hao! Subiaco Library’s Harmony Storytime for February will celebrate Mandarin. Subiaco Library is lucky to have the Chung Wah Association come and run this session. They provide Chinese language classes and extra curriculum activities, such as calligraphy.
Come along to listen to a story read in Mandarin and take part in some fun activities afterwards. To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we will be creating lanterns and paintings themed around Year of the Rabbit.
The session is suitable for ages 3-12 years, and both novices and native speakers are welcome!
This is a perfect opportunity to experience stories in a different language and learn some simple Mandarin words.
The City prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming, and hopes these sessions will help children from all backgrounds experience stories in a different language.
Please be sure to book a ticket for every person attending including children.

Getting to the event: Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. Three hour ticketed parking is available behind Subiaco Church off Rowland Street. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.
