Feeling younger without sugar

Join Tammy Martin as she discusses reducing sugar to improve your health

Join Tammy Martin of LEAP n2u Fitness for a guilt free discussion on how we can improve health and fitness and longevity in midlife by reducing sugar consumption.

The talk will cover the basics of sugar metabolism, brain food, if your gut can have a 'sweet tooth', what makes things sticky inside the body, and how it all gets a little trickier while transitioning through perimenopause.

Finally, you'll come away with practical strategies for squashing those persistent sugar cravings.

About Tammy Martin:

Tammy Martin of LEAP n2u Fitness loves to get people moving outdoors. As a teenager, regular exercise became a way to keep fit and confident and to enjoy spontaneous adventures with friends without feeling embarrassed. The early connection of friends, exercise and nature evolved into her philosophy for wellness as she learned to use these key nutrients to boost her mood, ease her stress and manage her hormone cycle.

Her philosophy extended into a passion that she has shared with others as a trail guide author, a sea kayak guide, a scuba dive master, group fitness instructor and currently as a midwife woman's personal trainer and aspiring multisport enthusiast.

But early last year, chronic inflammation made the simple act of taking a step unbearably painful and while she was faced with the possibility of having to give up her passion, diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, medical treatment and lifestyle changes have gradually helped to alleviate her symptoms, but not completely. This is why Tammy is taking a deeper look at the impact that excess sugar can have on our health and wellness, especially during and after perimenopause.

Tammy is a personal trainer, licenced holistic carer, pelvic floor coach and a certified peri-to-post menopause transition coach. Through her refreshing fitness formula for middle women, Tammy shows women over 40 how to be fit and free without fighting their bodies or feeling that they have to sweat it out with the 20-something crowd. She's provided personal and outdoor group training for women for seven years.
