Dr Karl O’Callaghan is a former Commissioner of Police for Western Australia, serving from 2004 to 2017 and becoming the longest serving Commissioner since the Second World War. His experience across policing, government and environmental leadership provides a broad perspective on leadership, decision making and the importance of early intervention in improving community outcomes.
In this informative session, Karl will share insights from his extensive career in law enforcement, including practical perspectives on community safety and the role individuals and communities can play in creating safer, more connected neighbourhoods.
Drawing on his leadership experience and ongoing community work, Karl will also explore the link between safety, wellbeing, and strong community relationships.
