Come and celebrate Children's Book Week® with Subiaco Library.

Each year schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators. This is an opportunity to meet a well loved author and learn about the joys of writing, how to become published and where authors find their inspiration and amazing ideas.

Meet Narelle Wynter
Narelle Wynter has always had a keen interest in books and was an avid reader from an early age. She wrote her first book whilst in high school and her love of literacy and children, saw her venture into a career as a paediatric speech pathologist. Narelle has been inspired to write her own children’s books, using themes that have a positive message, utilising language to assist the child in developing their own reading skills, and aiming to engender a love of reading. Her debut book is titled I'd Rather Eat Chocolate.

How to book a session

Select one of the sessions and add your class.

• 9.30 am - 10.30am - Year PP - 2

• 11am - 12pm - Year 2-4

• 1pm - 2pm - Year 4 -6

Please book tickets for all attending - students, teachers and parents.

Age Restrictions Please be aware of the age restrictions for each session. Sessions have been specifically designed for certain age groups and age restrictions will apply. Utmost attention has be given to provide equal number of sessions for each age group.

Getting to the event: Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.
