"One Song" by AJ Betts

Join author AJ Betts for a Q&A session with SVY. Discover what happens when four musicians have one weekend to write a life changing song for Triple J Unearthed High in One Song.

About the Author

A.J. Betts is a Fremantle-based author, speaker, teacher, columnist and cyclist. Her latest work is a fun realistic novel called ONE SONG, about a teenage band trying to record a song to enter into the prestigious Triple J Unearthed High competition. Her earlier books include the two-book speculative fiction series comprising HIVE and ROGUE (Pan Macmillan 2018, 2019) and ZAC & MIA (Text Publishing 2013), which is available in 14 countries and was made into an Emmy Award-winning Hollywood television series in 2017/2018. WAVELENGTH and SHUTTERSPEED were published by Fremantle Press in 2010 and 2008. .

The SVY is a group of people aged 12-25 interested in issues facing young people in the local and broader community. SVY members develop knowledge and skills in leadership, communication, public speaking, team work and civic affairs.

Pizza and drinks will be available at this event.

Dymocks Subiaco will be selling books after the Q&A session for signing.
