Give our waste truck a super name!

Four new trucks are now collecting recycling and waste around Subiaco – and we need your help to name one of them!

To welcome our new additions, we’re holding a kids’ competition to name one of the trucks and draw a waste superhero who will be supersized and printed onto the side of a real waste truck! The winner will also receive a fun prize pack.

Think ‘Bin Diesel’ or ‘Captain Cleanup’ – the more creative the entry, the better.

The competition is open to children aged 5 to 12 who live or attend school in the City of Subiaco. Entries close on 12 October 2026.

The Name Our Truck competition is open to anyone aged 5 to 12 years old living or going to school in the City of Subiaco. Drawings submissions and names submitted must be the sole work of the entrant and is limited to one entry per person.

Drawing submissions cannot be returned and may be displayed in City venues or used for marketing purposes across the City. They may be published on the City’s website and used in City publications, as well as the City’s social media channels.

The competition is open from 21 September to 12 October 2026.

One winning entry from the community will be selected at the discretion of the City of Subiaco. Winners will be notified by phone or email by 20 October 2026.

The selected name is the property of the City of Subiaco.

The City of Subiaco has the right to change any details of the competition at any stage.

The winner will have their truck name and superhero printed on the side of a truck (for up to 12 months duration) and receive a prize pack valued at approximately $50. Prize packs can be collected from the City of Subiaco Administration Building, Level 2, 388 Hay Street, Subiaco or posted to the winner’s home address.

By submitting this application, you consent to the City of Subiaco collecting personal information about you and your child, including names, ages, contact details, and any other information provided in your application.

This information is collected for the purpose of assessing your application, providing the requested service, and communicating with you regarding your application. If you choose not to provide the requested information, the City may be unable to process your application or provide the service requested.

The City may disclose your personal information to third parties where necessary to deliver the requested service, where you have provided consent, or where required or authorised by law. Personal information may also be used for marketing and promotional purposes where permitted by law.
