Small Business Resilience Program – CCTV Rebate

WA Small Business Resilience Program CCTV Rebate

Keeping staff, customers and business premises safe is a priority for every small business. Whether you operate a retail store, café, hospitality venue, professional service, health practice or customer-facing business, investing in effective security measures can help reduce risk and provide greater peace of mind.

The WA Small Business Resilience Program – CCTV Rebate has been introduced to support eligible small businesses in strengthening their security through the installation of new or upgraded internal CCTV systems. Delivered by the Small Business Development Corporation in partnership with Crime Stoppers Western Australia, the program provides a rebate of up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at $2,000.

The initiative aims to help businesses take a proactive approach to crime prevention and improve their ability to respond when incidents occur. By supporting the installation of hard-wired CCTV systems, the program focuses on three key outcomes:

  • Protect people
Create a safer environment for staff and customers through increased monitoring and improved visibility within business premises.

  • Protect property
Help deter theft, vandalism, anti-social behaviour and other criminal activity, while providing an added layer of protection for stock, equipment and business assets.

  • Preserve evidence
Capture quality footage that can assist police and other authorities in investigating incidents, identifying offenders and supporting insurance claims where required.

A well-designed CCTV system can offer significant benefits beyond security, helping business owners monitor activity within their premises and providing reassurance for employees working in customer-facing environments.

With funding available on a limited basis, businesses considering a new CCTV installation or an upgrade to an existing system are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and prepare their applications early.

Applications open 19 October.

This rebate presents a valuable opportunity for small businesses to improve security, strengthen resilience and reduce the upfront cost of investing in CCTV infrastructure.
