Complaints
Elected Member, Committee Member and Candidates
Any member of the community is able to raise concerns about the conduct of council members, committee members and candidates by reporting an alleged breach of Division 3 of the City of Subiaco Code of Conduct for Council Members, Committee Members and Candidates.
Complaints must be made using the approved complaint form within one month of the breach occurring and should include supporting information.
The complaint form, and any other supporting information provided will form part of the evidence that is considered in the investigation and by the Council when deciding whether a breach of the Code has occurred.
If you decide to lodge a complaint, you should send the complaint form and supporting information to city@subiaco.wa.gov.au and attention to the Complaints Officer. Alternatively, you can mail your complaint to PO Box 270 Subiaco WA 6904.
Rules of Conduct
In addition to the complaints listed above, complaints of minor breach can be raised by members of the community against Elected Members by reporting an alleged breach of Division 4 of the City of Subiaco Code of Conduct for Council Members, Committee Members and Candidates, which are referred to as Rules of Conduct.
Complaints of this nature are submitted to, and determined by, the Local Government Standards Panel.

Please note that requests for service or information can initially be made using the City’s online services.
If you are not satisfied with a program or service that has been provided by the City, you are able to make a complaint via writing to the City via email at city@subiaco.wa.gov.au or in writing to PO Box 270 Subiaco WA 6904.
When making a complaint, it would be appreciated if you could also provide:
- what service, or who your complaint relates to
- all relevant information to assist in investigating your complaint
- what you expect as an outcome.
The City takes all complaints seriously. When actioning a complaint, we will:
- treat your complaint confidentially
- conduct an investigation
- communicate with you regarding decisions or actions taken to address your complaint
- use your feedback to assist us in improving our programs and services.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you are able to request a further review of your complaint that will be handled by another employee, or refer your complaint to the Western Australian Ombudsman’s Office for an independent review.
