Individuals may apply for grants of up to $400 each year to help with the associated costs of participation, including fees, travel costs, equipment, goods or resources, memberships and subscriptions, uniforms, and project costs.
You can apply for a Youth Achievement Grant if:

you are a residing or studying within the City of Subiaco
-
you are between the age of 12 and 25 years (inclusive) on the first day of the activity
-
you are participating in an event, competition, community project, education, training, or other activity which supports your personal or professional development.
Your application must be received by the City before the first day of the activity, except in the case of purchase of goods. These applications will only be assessed with proof of purchase, and no later than 60 days from the date of purchase.
Ineligibility
The City of Subiaco will not support applications if:
- The grant is intended to be used on supporting personal hobbies, school supplies and school uniforms
- It will be used for purchase of a gift or prize, including cash
- The grant is used as a start-up or capital for a small business
- The applicant is a group, business or service provider
- The project is already funded through other sources (e.g., school activities, cultural activities)
- Proof of purchase of items shows payment through gift cards, store credit, vouchers or promo codes
- The grant is intended for School fees, TAFE/University fees (except short courses, academic and leadership programs that are more than 6 weeks)

Youth Achievement Grant application form. You will need to provide a letter of support and proof of participation from the associated organisation.
The Youth Achievement Grants are a rolling grants program. Please note grants will not be processed from
Monday 9 June to Monday 1 September 2025 due to the finalisation of financial year funding. Applications recieved during this time will be processed after Monday 1 September 2025.
If you are applying solely to support the purchase of equipment, goods, or resources, you must provide proof of purchase with your application. The purchase must be related to the eligible activities outlined in the criteria above.
