Volunteers are an important link in the Subiaco community and their contribution to the city’s programs and projects is highly valued. By volunteering, you can show that you care for your community, are keen to make a contribution to the lives of others and want to connect with new people.
There is also a broad range of community organisations within the City of Subiaco, many of which are actively seeking volunteers. Whether you're interested in the environment, health and wellbeing, sport and recreation, arts and culture or community services, there is a volunteering opportunity for everyone. You can contact the city to find out about local community organisations looking for volunteers.

Volunteer Resource Centre - Subiaco
Since July 2017 the City of Nedlands, in partnership with the City of Subiaco, has run a Volunteer Resource Centre (VRC) out of Subiaco Library. This one-stop service is staffed by an experienced Volunteering Resource Officer who can provide you with information about volunteering, local volunteer positions available, and can assist you to find a suitable role.
The Subiaco VRC operates Wednesdays from 10.30am to 1.30pm at Subiaco Library. VRC’s are also run at different times at the City of Nedlands Library, The Grove Library (Peppermint Grove), and the Claremont Library.
If you represent a local not-for-profit organisation and are in need of volunteers you can contact the Nedlands VRC for assistance promoting your positions. For more information or to make an appointment please visit the City of Nedlands Volunteer Resource Centre website.
The Subiaco Pop-Up VRC is taking a break while Subiaco Library is close for refurbishment, resuming Wednesday 19 February 2020. For information on other Volunteer Resource Centres in the Western Suburbs visit the City of Nedlands website.
