22 May 2023
A reminder of the upcoming road closure in Nedlands at the Aberdare/Smyth Road roundabout.

There will be a complete closure of Smyth Road, south of Aberdare Road (including the roundabout) on Tuesday 23 May to Thursday 25 May (inclusive) and single lane closure on Friday 26 May – all between 9am and 5pm.

At these times, traffic will be diverted down:
  • Herbert Road
  • Morgan Street
  • Murchison Street
  • Commercial Road
  • John Street
  • Kitchener Street.
Higher order roads, such as Onslow Road, are being used within the City of Subiaco's boundary where possible but local residential roads need to be used for detour routes to allow the road network to cope.

The City of Subiaco has been liaising with the City of Nedlands around the detours and to ensure those most impacted know about the works.

Residents on the detour routes should now have received a letter from the contractor doing the works on behalf of the City of Nedlands with more information. If you have not received a letter, please visit the City of Nedlands website for more information.
