The City of Subiaco celebrates Seniors Week

The City is hosting a range of free activities throughout the week from 7 to 14 November, in honour of Seniors Week.

WA Seniors Week is an annual event that encourages people of all ages to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of older people in the WA community.

To celebrate, come along to one of these wonderful events and connect with your community.

Seniors Week Coffee Club
What’s better than sitting with friends under a shady tree in a beautiful park? Doing this with free morning tea, of course!

A special morning tea is being hosted by the City outside the Subiaco Museum for our senior residents.
You’re invited to chat with new and existing friends while you enjoy a delicious free morning tea on the museum lawn.

Morning tea takes place on Tuesday 8 November, 10am to 11am.
Head to the City’s event page for more information and to reserve your seat at the table.

Have a Go Day bus trip
Discover something new with Have a Go Day!

This exhibition at Burswood Park is for over 55s to discover and learn something new. There are over 230 stalls and activities available for you to explore. The City is providing a free shuttle bus to and from the event. Please book your seat on the bus, so you don’t miss out.

Have A Go Day takes place on Wednesday 9 November, 9am to 3pm.

Seniors’ Hub
Subiaco’s very own ‘Seniors’ Hub’ officially launches during Seniors Week. Meet with Daisy, your local Positive Ageing Community Development Officer, to learn about local social activities to encourage independent living in the Subiaco community.

The drop-in hub is held at Subiaco Library, starting on Thursday 10 November from 2pm to 4pm.

More information
The City of Subiaco has a dedicated Senior Space to celebrate our senior residents and encourages their valued participation in the community through fun activities and events like these. You can learn more on the City’s website.
