The City’s new pop-up community space, Subiaco Pop-up Square, opened with a bang over the weekend bringing with it a unique energy and buzz to the town centre.
Friday saw roving circus performers take over the space during the day while a pop-up bar and a live acoustic music session eased everyone into the weekend as the sun went down.
Saturday and Sunday brought light projections to marvel at, more live music performances and, reportedly, some hole-in-ones from talented putters on the mini golf course.
The pop-up space – which aims to help support local business, increase vibrancy in the town centre, and create somewhere for people to relax and socialise – has been well received by families, workers, business owners and visitors alike.
The lively space will continue to play host to a number of events and activations over the next six weeks, including morning yoga, art and gardening sessions, a floral creative workshops, animal encounters and more.
It will also be in play throughout the school holidays, up until Sunday 9 May when a special Mother’s Day surprise will be in place.
Subiaco Pop-up Square is being delivered by the City in partnership with RAC, through its Reconnect WA initiative, which aims to create vibrant streets and public spaces for Western Australians to interact and connect.
