Schools keep history alive at Subiaco Museum

Through the School Programs initiative, the Subiaco Museum hosted 13 classes from various schools this term, including Subiaco Primary School, Rosalie Primary School, Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Karrinyup, Queen of Apostles School in Riverton and a local homeschool group.

Over 300 students participated in the program, primarily from Year One and Year Two, with Year One classes being the most popular. These visits provided an interactive learning experience, allowing students to engage with the rich history and cultural heritage of Subiaco.

The museum's school program includes guided tours, hands-on activities and educational resources tailored to different age groups. The focus was on making history accessible and exciting for young students, encouraging curiosity and a love for learning.
