This year, the rate increase in the City of Subiaco has been kept to a low 1.9 per cent. The minimum rate remains the same at $1190.
There have been unavoidable increases in waste charges and the Emergency Services Levy (ESL), which local governments are required to collect on behalf of the State Government. This is due to State Government fees and increases in the cost of waste transport, processing and infrastructure.
As a result, waste service fees will increase by $51 per standard residential service, from $340 to $391, and the ESL will increase by 4.6 per cent.
To help you understand your rate notice when you receive it, we’ve put together some FAQs.
