Creative workshop producers
Happy Hub Collective have curated a series of creative workshops to be hosted in the Hayside Gallery, at 484 Hay Street, over the coming weeks.
The gallery is a newly activated space as part of the City's partnership with creative placemakers SPACEMRKT, which recently hosted its first exhibition
'TENSION' featuring a curation of works by acclaimed local artists.
Happy Hub Collective specialise in creative workshops, and have curated the below list of workshops hosted by a selection of local creatives in the gallery space:
- Native bouquet workshop hosted by Euka Floral Design, where you'll learn how to create a gift-wrapped native bouquet using locally grown seasonal wildflowers, on Saturday 5 July from 10am to 12.30pm.
- Dip bowl and grazing plate pottery workshops by Happy Hub Collective, where you'll have the chance to learn how to make functional art pieces to elevate your next dinner party. Sessions on Saturday 5 July, Saturday 12 July, Saturday 19 July, Saturday 2 August, and Saturday 23 August, all from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
- Custom ring wax carving workshop hosted by Our Folk, where you can learn how to create a custom jewellery cast through carving and shaping a wax model, on Sunday 6 July from 10am to 12.30pm.
- Paper sunflowers and signature scent workshop hosted by Jotterbook Flowers, where you can create a custom vase arrangement of paper sunflowers and blend a luxurious perfume cream with creative spirit Ousougene, on Saturday 26 July from 2pm to 6pm.
- Pressed flower framing workshop hosted by Open Hands Creative, which teaches you how to collect and press flowers, and put together a framed arrangement, on Sunday 27 July from 12.30pm to 3pm.
- Basket coiling workshops hosted by Open Hands Creative, which teaches people how to weave their own baskets, on Saturday 16 August from 10am to 1pm, and Sunday 24 August from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
