An interactive art installation entitled 'Know Thy Neighbour: The Subiaco Object Exchange', produced by Spaced and artist Jessee Lee, will open from Friday 24 March to Sunday 26 March.
The object exchange project is dubbed "a vital way to meet consumer demand in a resource challenged nation". It functions as a place for Subiaco residents to donate objects of sentiment and/or utility, or for people to simply come and have a look at some items that once belonged to their neighbours.
The Subiaco Voices of Youth committee helped contribute to the artwork by painting its exterior, and will also host a private launch event for the piece on Friday afternoon.
The Object Exchange will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March.
For more information on the installation, and the Know Thy Neighbour project in general, visit the
Spaced website.
The Subiaco Object Exchange is a joint venture between The Commonwealth of New Bayswater Department of Public Works, Subiaco Voices of Youth, the City of Subiaco and Spaced.
