Join us at Cliff Sadlier Memorial Park (northern side of the park) between 9am to 11am on Sunday 4 August and
help plant 1700 native plants in the living stream.
Stay for as long as you want and help improve biodiversity at your local park with your neighbours.
This annual event is our way of celebrating National Tree Day, a day where all Australians are encouraged to get their hands dirty and give back to their community.
The City has been participating in National Tree Day since 2008, with the community contributing to the planting of many areas such as Mabel Talbot Park, Mueller Park, portions of Stubbs Terrace, Rosalie Park, Charles Stoke Reserve and Lake Jualbup.
Plantings like this help contribute to the City’s urban forest which, in turn, improve liveability through social, economic and environmental benefits.
More plants not only provide valuable habitats for our local fauna but also help purify air, filter noise, and can play a role in modifying the effects of climate change.
