Make your voice count – enrol to vote

The 2021 local government elections are fast approaching. Make sure you’re enrolled to vote so you can make your voice count and have a say on who represents your community and makes decisions on your behalf.

The City encourages all eligible electors to vote; the more votes received, the more representative your Council will be.

This year, the community will need to vote for two Councillors and a Mayor after it was decided the Council would be reduced to eight Councillors, plus the Mayor.

The new community representatives chosen will be elected to the Council for a four year term.

To be eligible to vote in the City of Subiaco elections, you need to be a resident recorded on the state electoral roll, or a property owner or business operator recorded on the City’s owner/occupier roll.

Residents’ roll
Residents who are listed on the state electoral roll within the boundaries of the City are automatically placed on the residents’ roll. To check if you are correctly enrolled on the residential roll or to update your details, visit the Western Australian Electoral Commission’s website.

Owner/occupier roll
If you own property or operate a business within the City, you may be entitled to vote as an owner/occupier. To check your eligibility and to access enrolment forms, visit our elections page, or call 9237 9222.

Enrolment closes Friday 27 August.
