Jackson Harvey and Alex Towler, winners of Season 2 of LEGO Masters, are heading to Subiaco for a special family-friendly event on Saturday 13 September!
The event, hosted by LEGO enthusiast James Foley, is perfectly timed to celebrate Jackson and Alex’s new book,
A New World Rises: Tales of a LEGO World, which also features additional stories and world-building by WA author Cristy Burne.
On the day, kids and families can bring a picnic rug and chairs to Theatre Gardens (near Bille Bob the Giant), and ask Jackson and Alex questions about LEGO, enjoy a light snack, and play games.
There will be a zone of giant LEGO blocks, a ‘paint your minifigure’ activity, minifigure Polaroids scattered around the garden for a scavenger hunt, and plenty more fun and activities.
Mayor David McMullen said, “Spring weather is here. Come and spend a Saturday morning outdoors with Bille Bob the Giant in one of Subiaco’s most beautiful gardens. Whether you’re a LEGO enthusiast or just want to come and enjoy some games in the park, it’s going to be a great, fun-filled day organised by the Subiaco Library team.”
And the LEGO fun doesn’t stop here – Subiaco Library are hosting a series of LEGO-inspired activities, including an intergenerational LEGO building competition, LEGO creation sessions, and a workshop where you can build a book safe to store LEGO minifigures in. Bookings for these events open Monday 15 September.
