The City of Subiaco’s iconic free sunset@subi concert series is back for its 38
th season to help you make the most of warm summer evenings with family and friends under the setting sun.
This year’s six-concert program kicks off with a special Christmas concert at LakeJualbup on Sunday 21 December with The Joi Ride Band performing a mix of carols and popular Christmas songs, with a special appearance by Santa himself.
The series will resume in the new year with acts including a tribute to The Little River Band, a night of Brit Pop featuring covers of The Beatles, Elton John, Coldplay and Adele hits, and a night of disco bops from the 70s and 80s.
Renowned local band Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys, known for their captivating live performances, will also present a night of jazz and rhythm & blues from the 40s and 50s.
Concerts run from 6pm to 8pm, with an Auslan interpreter on stage at all performances.
City of Subiaco Mayor David McMullen said the sunset@subi concert series is a summer tradition that has become an iconic fixture in the City’s event calendar.
“The sunset@subi series has seen families, friends and neighbours gather in some of Subiaco’s most picturesque parks to enjoy live music for the past 38 summers.
“This year’s jam-packed program has something for everyone – from disco and jazz to Brit Pop and Christmas carols. It’s a fantastic time of year to spend an evening in Subi.”
All concerts are free to attend and no bookings are required. The City of Subiaco has free parking in
Subipark car stations all weekend – no ticket required.
