It has been six months since residents have been able to borrow a DIY home energy kit from Subiaco Library as part of the Energy Efficiency Pilot Program facilitated by Switch Your Thinking.
In this time, the kit has been borrowed 14 times, and has had a continuous waitlist of approximately four residents at a time. Feedback from borrowers of the kit has been very positive.
The kit, which includes a thermal camera, energy efficiency thermometer and energy monitor, helps users to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save on energy costs at home.
