The City values its rich and unique heritage, and appreciates the dedication of home owners who work to conserve and enhance their heritage properties, and, in turn, the beautiful heritage of our suburbs.
At its May Ordinary Council Meeting, Council awarded two grants for works to heritage properties, including a grant toward repairing and/or acid cleaning the original stained glass windows of a property on Nicholson Road, and a grant towards reinstating timber sash windows to the first floor façade of a building on Hay Street.
The grants will provide financial assistance to property owners for works in the public view that conserve and/or enhance the heritage significance of an area, and for works required to stabilise a building.
