Entries now open for 2022 Tim Winton Award

The City of Subiaco’s 2022 Tim Winton Award for Young Writers entries have officially opened.
 
Entries are open to Western Australian school students in years one to twelve. Stories submitted must be an original piece of prose writing, no more than 2000 words in length. Entries must be the sole work of the entrant and are limited to one entry per person.
 
The creative writing award encourages innovation and creativity, and judges are looking for stories that show originality. With multiple age categories and an Outstanding Achievement award for the best overall story, there are many opportunities for recognition.
 
The City of Subiaco is a proud supporter of creativity in the youth of WA, delivering awards and initiatives across art, photography and literature.
 
This year’s award sponsors include Ms Janet Holmes a Court, Kool Kreative and Dymocks Subiaco.
