The City is supporting the Dogs’ Refuge Home 2021 open day that is aiming to raise much-needed funds for the animal welfare organisation.
The City awarded the Shenton park based not-for-profit a Community Development Grant in July for the event which will take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October.
The Dog’s Refuge Home has been was first opened in October 1935 and is an important part of the local community.
The City supports local not-for-profit projects, events and activities that promote wellbeing and a sense of belonging to our community.
In the July round, the City also awarded grants to Curate Arts Incorporated for a Pop Up! Recycle Instrument Community Arts Workshops, and to Rosalie Primary School P&C for the Rosalie Primary School Fete.
The next round of grants will open in early 2022.
