Local students from Jolimont Primary recently made their school a bit greener with the help of the City of Subiaco.
A large number of students and teachers took part in a special planting day, alongside City staff who helped plant approximately 60 trees.
The City also supplied 550 native plants for the school to use.
Native plants not only look great, but also require little water and fertiliser while contributing to increasing biodiversity.
Mrs Hosgen, who is the head of the sustainability team, and Mrs Almeida worked closely to make the day possible.
The majority of the trees and plants now sit proudly along the southern border of the school.
