On Monday 25 April, we remember Australians who served.
The Subiaco-Shenton Park RSL and City of Subiaco will not be holding formal services this year; instead, we are encouraging the community to participate in a Driveway Dawn Service.
Driveway Dawn Services across the state have had strong support over the past two years with families gathering at the end of their driveways or balconies with a candle as the sun rises to remember those who served our country.
“As COVID cases remain high and unpredictable, RSL sub-branches across WA have had to adapt once again. Many – including our local sub-branch – are encouraging people to take part in the Driveway Dawn Service rather than more formal services this year,” Mayor David McMullen said.
“Help remember and commemorate those who have served our country by gathering on your driveway or balcony with a candle at 6am this ANZAC Day (Monday 25 April).”
Tune into the radio (Mix 94.5 or Triple M) from 6am to listen to the Kings Park Dawn Service live.
