The City of Subiaco held its Annual Electors’ Meeting last night, which was well attended by almost 60 people.
Attendees were invited to ask questions of Deputy Mayor Stephanie Stroud and Acting Chief Executive Officer Cliff Frewing. Questions related to development, urban cover, drainage, public open space, and more.
Motions were also raised by electors and will be considered by Council.
Local governments are required to hold a general meeting of electors once every financial year, in accordance with the Local Government Act, to consider the contents of the Annual Report and to raise other general business.
It is an opportunity for the City to touch base with the community, reflect on the last financial year and invite ratepayers to ask questions and voice any concerns or ideas they may have.
The minutes of the meeting will be available on the City’s website soon, and the meeting was live streamed and recorded on the City’s YouTube channel.
The annual report and financial statements can be viewed on the City's important documents webpage.
The Annual Electors’ Meeting was originally scheduled to take place late last year but due to the pandemic and State Government restrictions, as well as changes made to regulations, the meeting had to be postponed.
