Join us in honouring the individuals who served our nation this ANZAC Day in the City of Subiaco.
On 25 April each year, services are held around the country as a time to remember all Australian service men and women and reflect on the many different meanings of war.
This year, services supported by the City of Subiaco are:
ANZAC Day Procession | 7am, Shenton Park Community Centre
The procession assembles at the corner of King Street and Onslow Road at 6.50am. At 7am the march sets off down Onslow Road to the Shenton Park Community Centre. A morning tea will be held at the Shenton Park Community Centre immediately following the service.
ANZAC Day Service | 8.15am, Subiaco Fallen Soldiers Memorial
The procession assembles at 7.50am at the Subiaco Post Office. At 8am the procession moves along Rokeby Road to the Fallen Soldiers memorial for the service commencing at 8.15am. A light morning tea will be served in Subiaco Library following the service. Road closures will be in place and traffic will be detoured as required.
The City will also be holding a special talk entitled, Subiaco Soldiers’ Stories, at the museum in early April.
Hear stories from both World Wars and learn about some of the important memorials and honour boards dedicated to these individuals across the City.
There will be a collection of the soldiers’ oral histories to listen to, as well as a display of military memorabilia from the collection.
You can listen to the talk on Thursday 3 April at
Museum Mornings (10am) or at a
5.30pm evening session. Both sessions are free to attend.
