Guest Speaker: Stories and Experiences of Pam Davies - Award Winning Teacher of the Deaf
After 50 years as a primary school teacher, including 26 years as a teacher of the deaf, Pam Davies shares the highlights of her professional career. Topics will include manual communication, AUSLAN, lip reading, hearing devices and supported technology.
Teachers of the deaf and hard-of hearing educate school students who are deaf or hard of hearing. They plan and conduct educational programs that promote the intellectual, physical and social growth of students and support students in the development of their literacy, numeracy and other academic skills.
