Come spend an afternoon with award-winning artist and illustrator Kylie Howarth! Kylie draws inspiration from her underwater travels with whale sharks, manta rays, humpback wales and even great white sharks! Discover how Kylie creates and illustrates her picture books and chapter books. Draw along as she shows you, step-by-step, how to draw sea creatures and other popular characters from her books.
Get your hands dirty and have fun experimenting with charcoal! This is a messy workshop so wear your old clothes!
Subiaco library runs a free school holiday program for school children aged five and up. An adult must accompany children, and remain within the library, during all activities.
Please book a ticket for every child attending.
Bookings open Monday 28 March at 9.30am – bookings are essential and places are limited.
NOTE: Please do not attend Subiaco Library if you are feeling unwell, you are most welcome to cancel your free ticket at any time and re-book into future upcoming events when you are feeling better and are symptom free. We ask that all visitors maintain good hand hygiene and utilise the hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities available when attending events. Please maintain social distancing when attending events and if you have any concerns raise them with our friendly staff.

Ticket information: you are not required to bring your ticket with you to the session. In the case of a sold out session, names will be check at the venue.
Parent supervision: all children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the school holiday session. All attending children must pre-book a ticket as spaces are limited for each session.
Age restrictions: please be aware of the age restrictions for each session. Sessions have been specifically designed for certain age groups and age restrictions may apply. Please read the information carefully.
Getting to the event: Subiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. For more information on getting around Subiaco visit the city’s website.
