Library members can borrow up to twenty items for a period of three weeks. Items can be renewed by telephone, email or by logging into your online account. Items cannot be renewed if they have been requested by another member, are more than one week overdue or have already been renewed twice. Items not returned by the due date may incur charges.
Joining the library
Customers may join online or come into the library in person. To become a full member you will be required to present proof of your residential address at the customer service desk. This can be either a Drivers licence or two other forms of identification, one of which must have your address e.g rates notice or a bill. Library members agree to the terms of conditions of use for the Western Suburbs Library Group that is outlined in the code of conduct.
Reference and information services
Staff will happily assist you with locating items and information for educational, work and recreational queries. An inter-library loan service can help you acquire items not available at Subiaco Library.
Library meeting room - The Nook
The Nook is a general purpose meeting space available to members of the public, community groups, organisations, and clubs. The room is free to book for groups of two to twelve people for up to two hours at a time. The room cannot be used for any profitable or business related activities. Computers, WiFi and digital education
Subiaco Library has eight public computers with Microsoft Office software and internet access. Free wireless internet is also available inside and outside the library.

Digication is Subiaco Library's digital education program consisting of group information sessions and one-on-one tutorials. Participants can register for a free individual tutorial to receive help and advice on any technology question. Sessions are available on Thursdays from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Register at Subiaco Library or phone 9237 9300. Please note 24 hours notice is required for any cancellations of one-on-one tutorials.
Digication information sessions are small group sessions which include information and practical advice on a range of digital skills and knowldge areas. Register for these upcoming sessions via the online events calendar.
Learn about e-resources
Your membership gives you free access to a 24/7 word of information thousands of online resources including e-books, e-magazines, audio books and online courses. For help with e-resources, register for a one-on-one information session with library staff where you will be shown what is available, and how you can access it. Subiaco Library offers printing from any internet- connected device including laptops, tablets, smart phones or your home computer. Programs for adults
Belonging to a book club is a great way to meet new people and be exposed to books you may not ordinarily choose. Subiaco Library's book club meets for one hour every six weeks with three sessions to choose from:

Yarn Club is the perfect place to knit and crochet a morning away with like minded crafters. Yarn Club meet every week on Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm in The Nook at Subiaco Library. Bring along your half knitted socks and crocheted scarves and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a natter.

English Conversation Club
Subiaco Library host a weekly English Conversation Club for adults for whom English is their second language. All are invited to attend and engage in conversation in a safe and welcoming environemtn. This club meet every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 11am in The Nook at Subiaco Library.

Housebound delivery service
The library offers a housebound delivery service for residents who are temporarily or permanently housebound and unable to visit the library. Contact the library on (08) 9237 9300 to find out more or determine your eligibility.
