New artwork seating enhances streetscape
Monday 26 October 2020

New artwork benches have been installed near the recently-opened Vibe Hotel to provide more seating and enhance the surrounding streetscape.

Previous City consultation highlighted the wish for more seating within the Subiaco town centre so, after receiving positive community support earlier this year, new industrial-inspired seating was installed.

The four functional artworks were kindly donated to the City and were designed by Perth artists Paul Caporn and Tee Ken Ng using recycled materials.

They were inspired by building air intakes including air vents, louvres and pipeworks, and incorporate timber seating elements.

The four artwork benches can be found on Railway Road (near Alvan Street) and on Hay Street (opposite McCabe Lane).
