This week, the City delivered free business hygiene packs to local food and retail businesses to help them reopen their doors safely as restrictions eased in WA.
The business hygiene packs included hand sanitiser, physical distancing floor decals and posters, and business support information, and were handed out to more than 250 food and retail businesses over two days.
Any other businesses that would like to pick up a pack can do so from the City’s Administration Centre at 241 Rokeby Road, Subiaco.
Mayor Penny Taylor said it was vital for the City to support local businesses to reopen their doors during this time.
“What businesses need more than anything right now is people. Customers coming in and supporting jobs and local business. Our community is really good at helping out when times are tough. Whether it’s bushfires or floods or this totally unexpected pandemic – our community wants to help and getting out and buying local is the best way to help jobs and businesses right now,” she said.
“We hope these packs will help alleviate some stress that local businesses are under as they adapt to the easing of restrictions so they can reopen quickly and, most importantly, safely.”
This initiative is in addition to the City’s over $4M COVID-19 relief package.
