The City of Subiaco is calling for volunteers to assist with a street count program to gather information about the number of people sleeping rough in the local community.
The Rough Sleeper Count will occur simultaneously in a joint initiative with other neighbouring metropolitan local governments and is the first in this region at this scale.
Between 1am and 3am on Tuesday 17 March, small teams of volunteers will walk designated routes in Subiaco to record the number of people sleeping rough. The data will be collected through a smartphone app and collated across local government areas.
The data gathered will help the City plan future initiatives to address homeless in the local area.
