Meaningful customer relationships and agility in business were some of the top takeaways from yesterday’s Subiaco Business Conference.
More than 100 business owners and operators attended the half-day event, starting with an inspirational presentation from consumer trends expert, Amanda Stevens, which focussed on building real relationships with customers.
Subiaco’s own Michael Malone, founder of iiNet, emphasised the importance of agility in business - encouraging innovation, allowing failures and the ability to pivot your business in a new direction.
A panel of experts provided financial, marketing, customer service and digital innovation insight specific to small businesses operating in Subiaco.
Mayor Penny Taylor said the city had listened to the local business community and delivered.
“Yesterday’s conference was a great example of local government working together with the business community to achieve our shared goal,” Mayor Taylor said.
“It was a fantastic atmosphere and we’ve had overwhelming positive feedback. Our local business community is passionate, intelligent and driven,” she said
The business conference is one of several initiatives being delivered by the city to support the local business community and strengthen economic development.
